She had never worn makeup but i give her a plus for picking halloween night to try some new looks. this is too bold for her but i told her this is halloween night you can wear what you want and be who you want to be.And she definitely pulled it off.

HI! Iam just writting this blog to help young girls out their to make there prom memorable and especial. I have noticed that everytime i do someones makeup its either they say oh i wish i did that! oh i wish i have known that!.Its normal but what matters most is you got to your prom on time. correct? but to ease your mind here’s some tips that i can atleast guide you.
1) you dont have to spend alot! to look good. always remember if you feel good about yourself it will naturally show! so spend your parents money wisely 
2) plan your prom atleast 6 weeks before. so this way you have more time to look for great deals! same as hairstylist, dont judge weather that stylist has been in the industry for 20 yrs. do a trial updo. some salons have good deals with that.same with your makeup artist.
3)when it comes to the makeup.communicate with the artist and what helps alot is to bring a photo. Pls. dont try those bright colors that you see on magazines for this day! Because you will regret it,trust me. you want to look at those photos ten years from now or show it to your kids without regrets,without getting teased!!!
Just enjoy this moment.Its all about you. but include your mom,there more excited than you i bet.:)

I was given a chance to work with all of these beautiful women.Helping them get ready for there parties. from classy sassy to playful looks. thank you ladies!
1. No more facials 14 days before wedding.
2.Hair color must be done 10 days prior to the wedding. so this way you still have time to correct whatever imperfections you see in your hair.
3.Eye brows and lip, wax it the day before the wedding.
4. Tanning, watch carefully because you dont want to be too dark or too red on your pictures.(Worse you might get sunburn and peeling)
5.Always have a trial makeup and updo. Its a must! When your deciding for a perfect look.Consider other opinions but trust your own instinct. Inform your friends or relatives about your ideal makeup and updo so this way they know what look you want.(print a picture and show it to them) Because they tend to suggest things that might contradict everything. Always be specific as well. trust me it will make our jobs easier.
6. My favorite, drink lots of green tea it will give you radiance skin.
7. Pls. schedule your hair appt. 2 hours earlier and include the traveling time as well if your going to the salon so that i will be with you for an hour to complete my job. (it is not good to rush your hairstylist and makeup artist trust me with this one.)
8. And use your bridesmaids as your runner.thats there job!
9.Get a good photographer. Invest and you will never regret it.
Small simple rules makes a difference. Ive seen and experience enough to know what its like.No matter how much you plan your day there will be bumps along the way but if you follow this rules you will be alright! Dominique’s makeup is focused mainly on a look that would give romance and elegance combined. This is a good example for a wedding makeup. As much as possible dont be afraid to put some color. I decided to balance her look with a sheer gloss finish lipstick. To soften it more i used two different blush on her cheeks and added some highlights.
We all first met at Lindsay’s pad. I gave them trial makeup. i require that too because on the day of the wedding i want to be prepared.Foundation shade has to match well so when they take pictures the outcome is good. They had mentioned it would be an indoor wedding.And as a makeup artist i know there will be a difference with the lighting. On the day of the wedding (this is common) it turned out that they had changed there mind and decided to do an outdoor wedding. So on the spot i had to change the makeup. The foundation shade is still the same. (This is a good example why i require trial makeup, so this way Iam prepared for any changes).The day was beautiful the sun was shining. Inshort a perfect day to get married. Lindsay had a very elegant wedding dress.love it!( I dont have a picture to show everyone but she looked good in it) Kathy wore a navy blue dress which was cute! Anyways, I had a great time working with them. Id like to take this opportunity to thank you for trusting me and letting me be part of your life in some ways.
Kathy’s look i used mac eyeshadows:deep truth,carbon,crystal,vex as the highlighter. ( for everyone who has asked me which one is the highlighter VEX )

Elena is a college student,she is beautiful and she has this accent that you would think shes not from the here. I met her and used this new product called SCULPT by Mac. This product works well.Its a med. to full buildable coverage. As you can see the finish on elena’s makeup. I would always recommned this foundation. But to those who doesnt need the coverage at all i like the stick foundation by Mac for my photoshoots.
tip; always consider what your skin type is(dry,oily,combination) and ask your self do you really need alot of coverage. Women tend to go to full coverage just because they think it last more or stays longer. which does not. I had met alot of people who prefers to hide there beautiful skin with the heaviest coverage big no no. In all honesty it makes a young person look older. So the next time you buy foundation think twice and dont ever hesitate to ask the makeup artist and try to listen……

Nicole and i met in the counter where i work. She came in with her father. And she just has this warm smile, i instantly approached her and found out shes half japaness! great! i love to speak japaness again! their culture,their food are just amazing! Anyways, to cut everything short i got to work with her again. this time for her prom. We decided to make her eye’s dramatic and classic. So that after ten years when she looks back at her picture, you can’t tell which year it was. a good Example: eighties makeup is all bold colors with think eyebrows and red-orange lip color. Usually following trends hurts us. Yes, I gotta admit i was one of those victims. Believe me im hiding those pictures! lol. Also when i work i always ask to see the pattern of the dress. i will match the color but not too matchy2x. You just have to pick one color becoz what will happen is theres too much going on.Pick a focal point to where you want other people to notice you. (Just an advise i always tell everyone.)
I had a great time working with nicole very easy and she listened to my directions without asking me. And i love that about her. I hope to see you soon…
